So I just watched Into the Wild tonight... wow I'm not sure the last time I've seen a movie that had such a profound impact after watching. I know that Chris McCandless' story was obviously "Hollywoodized" to a certain extent but regardless, I think there was a lot of a value to be taken from his story. And I dunno, I just really enjoyed it and felt connected to it more than any movie I've seen in a long time.
"And I also know how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong but to feel strong. To measure yourself at least once. To find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions. Facing the blind death stone alone, with nothing to help you but your hands and your own head."
If nothing else, this movie has made me want to experience the world around me more now than ever before.
